What is Male Pattern Baldness?
Although there are many causes of hair loss for men, the most common is Male Pattern Baldness also known as Androgenetic Alopecia.
Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is the testosterone which causes hair loss. It attaches itself to hair follicles causing them to shrink over time, becoming thinner and thinner until you are bald on the top of your head. This condition can either be genetic or environmental, meaning it could have been passed down by a family member or it may be down to a person’s lifestyle choices, for example, stress or diet.
How Do I Know If I’m Losing My Hair?
Noticing the appearance of thinning hair?
A receding hairline, or excessive shedding?
Is your scalp becoming more visible? Compare a photo of your hair last year, to now, you might notice a difference.
How We Can Help
There’s no need to suffer – Improve your confidence with a full head of hair. We primarily focus on the stimulation of the hair follicles to increase blood flow underneath the scalp to the skull. We also remove dead skin cells to push the skin to produce new skin cells, promoting a healthy natural growth for men.
If you prefer a non-surgical route we offer a range of treatments such as Laser Hair Growth, which consists of regular therapy sessions specifically stimulating each follicle proven to work.
We can’t stress the importance of aftercare if we perform a hair loss treatment. For example, for a FUE Hair Transplant, we recommend professionally washing your hair, every day, for at least 10 days afterwards the surgery. Without doing so, it could result in adverse effects – For example, a transplant alone could lead to losing all existing hairs faster!
